I was 68 when I started exercising at Curves. I knew I was on a ‘winner’ when I felt my body shape changing and I began dropping sizes in my clothes. I was so committed to Curves that, when I visited my daughters – one in Canada, one in London – I used my Pass to train overseas. Several aspects of Curves has helped me reach my goals. From the moment I walk in, I am welcomed by name by Curves staff, which makes me feel I really belong. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere in the room.
Secondly, our monthly weigh-in encourages me to be aware that a healthy lifestyle is very important.
Thirdly, in our Curves, we are set different challenges from time to time, encouraging us to compete with one another. It’s great fun and encourages us to push ourselves that little bit harder.
Finally, Zumba classes twice a week, which we enthusiastically take up, with great support from the Curves staff.
Curves is a pleasant haven for a half-an-hour of exercise, as often as you like. It helps you to feel good about yourself and improves your self-confidence. It will help clear your head.
The more you go, the more you enjoy it. Whatever your size, you will never feel self-conscious about your body in Curves. After exercising in Curves you will feel more energetic and you will feel capable of turning the world upside down!
I am 72, I have lots energy and love to be active for my activities, like hill walking, Zumba and Irish set-dancing.
